What is Coaching?

Coaching is a partnership between you, the client and me, the coach. It is a gift to yourself to help you to attain your goals and dreams. It will help you to remain focused. Coaching focuses on the present and the future and on moving your career and life forward. We work on helping you to continue building on the strengths you already have. People come to me to help with aspirations or challenges. I am their motivator and confidant and I help my clients create meaningful goals. From there we establish action plans and break them into small steps. I provide a safe place to discuss your dreams, fears and challenges and then help you to face them head on. I will support you and challenge you and help you to experience dramatic shifts in your perspectives to help you to better understand yourself.

When you decide to be coached by me:

  • You are the focus.

  • We will identify the goals you want to attain.

  • We will determine the challenges you may face and create a plan to overcome them.

  • You will work to attain your goals and I will support you through the process.

My commitment to you is to:
  • maintain confidentiality of all discussions.

  • provide you new perspectives and offer potential options that have not previously been explored.

  • actively listen to you and provide you with feedback.

  • believe in you and your abilities.

  • help you achieve your goals.

How will we work together?

Coaching will be over the phone which creates ultimate flexibility for you. This allows for continued coaching even while you are traveling for business. Coaching sessions are 50 minutes and are scheduled for the first three weeks of each month. Each week you send me an update of your accomplishments and specify what you would like to discuss and work on for the week. I partner with you and encourage and nudge you to reach the goals you have set. I provide phone calls between coaching sessions if needed and e-mail contact as well.

Who are my clients?

My clients are successful, motivated professionals from large corporations, mid size and small companies. Their goal is to move forward in their careers, deal with work place issues and improve their work life balance. Many are new to positions they are in and need some help to make the transition or they are looking for the next step.

How does coaching differ from therapy?

In coaching, the client and the coach are equals. Coaching is for those who are in good mental health. It focuses on a person's life and how it relates to their goals. It is about moving forward, not looking back. It is about making positive changes and focuses on a person's present and future.
